David Hockney was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, on 9 July, 1937, the fourth of five children and the son of Kenneth and Laura Hockney. In 1959 he began to study at the Royal College of Art. His tutors include Roger de Grey, Ceri Richards, and many more. Hockney is an English painter, photographer stage designer and many more (busy man). Some places that that have his art are the Museum of Modern Art, Art Institute of Chicago. My photograph emulates his style because most of his work is like a collage of things and all look like a collage. My photos do the same its a bunch of pictures mad all into one photo. What I did to create these wonderful photos with the camera is I took about 6-10 images all in having different views but of the same things, so I went around taking pic. of the subject. Then in Photoshop I made a new document, then I opened all the images 6-10 then resized them making sure they were all the same and then stacked them over and over making sure it all fit together sorta like a puzzle. 1. I chose this magazine because my classmate's softball season has just ended so I wanted it as a Sports Magazine. I like the whole project it looks so amazing!!
2. I emulated the logo and the style of the text. 3. I used the basic Arial font with a solid black color and a blue pattern, that gave it that popping color 4. My set up was Mackenzie holding her softball Mitt and softball covering her mouth. I then only took a photo of her waist up. I created the photograph by shooting Mackenzie and posing her in the perfect pose 5. A strobe light acts like a huge flash, that uses a ton of lights ? You can use it to fill in shadows and gives the photo shoot a much better depth ? 6.A modeling light is so you can judge where the highlight and shadows will fall in advance of the flash burst You use it to judge where the highlights and shadows will fall into the subject 7. A soft box covers the strobe light and evenly spreads out the light and makes it soft on the subject. You use it to soften the light coming from the strobe. 8. A reflector is either plain white or gold. It reflects either color onto the subject making it fill shadows. We use it to fill in shadows on the subject. We use it on an angle to make the light reflecting even on the subject. 9. A grey card tells you if the exposure is correct or not it has to be the same as the background. You use it to see if the exposure is good. Before you start shooting away you have the subject hold it and make sure its the same as the background. 10. A radio trigger is connected to the camera to trigger the flash and tell it when to flash, it gives a radio signal of when to go you use it to be all at the same time of the picture shooting if not you will be off. Mrs. Moncure Photo 1 May 2, 2017 Leavitt Portrait The title for this photo is Leavitt Portrait. This portrait was taken at Buena Vista Park, known as The Duck Pond for us at RBVHS. The portrait was photographed on a Nikon D3100, with an 18-140 mm lens. The Photograph is natural; it has no edits done to it. I did go into Photoshop to crop the photograph a small amount. This image is in the portrait category because it is a photo I did for the portrait assignment in photography class. It was printed on Epson Glossy Photo Paper on the Epson P800 Digital Printer. |
